Great quote

I heard this on tv tonight.

"Maybe my cell phone company should quit worrying about putting movies on my phone and work on letting me make phone calls"

Couldn't agree more.

Willow Podcast Part 2

Well early last year I posted about running across an xml file on Willow Creek's website for a podcast. Well a friend of mine told me he found their podcast on iTunes the other day. I search Willow Creek's website and found the link again and put it into Juice and got several files listed. I thought great. I loaded one into my mp3 player and listened to it on the way home from Barbourville on Sunday.

It was a message from Mike Breaux and it was a very good message. So good in fact that I wanted to listen to the rest of the series. I mean he mentioned in the sermon that it was the last in the series so it had to be a series. So, I looked at the rest of the files in the podcast and none of them seemed to connect to it. So, I started searching for the sermon on the website and finally ran across a newsletter that mentioned the series starting. Back in July. Man, that is just so not funny. So, I guess now I will have to debate on if I want to purchase the rest of the series or not. Bummer as I can't see how I can just download the mp3 version.

Husband tip

Just a quick tip to you husbands out there. If you are driving a truck where the gas needle doesn't work and you think you need gas on a night where your wife is hosting a cookware party. STOP AND GET GAS!!! It's not pretty. In the words of Forest Gump. That's all I have to say about that.

Leak testimony

Just finished watching the BCS title game between Ohio State and Florida and Fox was interviewing Florida Quarterback Chris Leak. Leak had taken off his jersey shoulder pads and written on his t-shirt was "I can do all thing through Christ"

I don't know much about Leak but an awesome way of showing your faith knowing the number of people watching at that moment.

Customer release?

I was talking with someone at work and she was talking to me about some computer problems she was having at home. She said that she wanted to call me or someone else I used to work with about coming over and fixing it. Her husband said no since they had their finance information on there and he didn't want anybody they knew to be able to have access to it.

I guess I can see his point so that brings up a question. Do you have some kind of release or confidentially statement you sign with your customers?

ps btw, a local big name computer shop only wiped the drive clean and started over. They lost their information.

2007 test

Just posted a Happy New 2007 and 2006 review and I have no idea where it went. :( Blogger for Word needs to get fixed in the worst way

UPDATE: It looks like my post appears in the feeds so I apologize in advance if you get this twice.

Happy New Year :) Hope your 2007 is a great one.

Misty and I stayed up and watched the ball drop. Colby stayed up also and we played Yahtzee twice. Colby beat us both times. Prety lucky for a four year old. Not only did he beat us, the first game his total was just a 100 points less than mine and Misty's total. Gee Wiz. Anyway, we was more than happy to play again today :)

A couple of thing for 2007 for me, get back to losing weight and getting ckcan.com off the ground. I need to come up with ways of getting my name out there so I can get some clients.

Anyway 2006 was a good year. Colby turned 4 and the twins turned 2. The twins are professional two-year-olds by the way. Especially Gabe:) I took Colby to his first baseball game. Celebrated my 8th year of being married to Misty. Changed jobs at work which gave me some "mangement" duties. Met a couple of fellow bloggers, Jim Walton and Tony Dye.

Not all was good though. The team I was on at work at the start of the year lost our team lead after a handgun accident. That was a hard week for us and we still miss Mitch. My best friend's dad passed away after battling an illness for a while.

Well, here's to a great 2007 and plenty of Bowl Games this week :)
